Article #106: Vintage 1962 Orange Crush Soda Bottle
In this new article we take a look at this vintage Orange Crush soda bottle from 1962. The brand started out as Orange Crush in 1911 and was created by chemist Neil C. Ward. In 1911, Clayton J. Howel who was the president and founder of the Orange Crush company partnered with Ward who made the recipe for Orange Crush. Crush premiered as Ward's Orange Crush. Orange Crush originally had orange pulp in the bottle which gave it a fresh squeezed illusion. This bottle is brown and has a ribbed design. In the middle of the bottle on the front you have the logo in an orange diamond.
Here is a look at the back of the bottle where in the diamond it says: This special brown bottle protects the delicate fruit flavor and fresh taste.
Here is a look at the bottom of the bottle where it says 62 which means it was bottled in 1962.
