Article #99: Vintage 1954 Gem Better Beverages Soda Bottle

In our 99th article we take a look at this vintage 1954 Gem Better Beverages soda bottle. Gem Better Beverages began in 1923 in southern Ohio when two men, Will Corn and Harvey Malloy started the business in an old garage which was located near where a Kroger parking lot is now. The bottling and distribution expanded over the years as Gem bottled their own line of flavors. In 1956, they replaced their own Gem cola when they began bottling Double Cola. Ski was bottled by the company a few years later. Today, Gem Beverages is still in business as they still distribute Ski and other drinks. On the front of the bottle you have the Gem logo in the middle as well as the gem writing at the top.
