Article #77: Vintage 1937 7 Up soda bottle



In this new article we are looking at this vintage 1937 7 Up soda bottle. 7 Up was created by Charles Leiper Grigg in 1920 by the Howdy Corporation. The formula for the drink came to be in 1929. Originally, the product was named Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda. With this bottle, the Applied Color Label that was on the front of the bottle is completely off but above that on both sides you have the 7 Up logo embossed.

Here is a look at the back of the bottle where you can still see some of the words on there including one of the slogans as well as the ingredients.
