Article #73: Vintage 1950's Canada Dry Spur Soda Bottle

Here is our 73rd article and it all about this vintage Spur soda bottle from the 1950's. Spur was released in 1948 and it was one of Canada Dry's first attempts at making a cola. When it first came out, it was available only in glass bottles and eventually in cans. Spur was discontinued in 1959. Then in 1979, Canada Dry discontinued Sport Cola and after a change to the formula they brought the Spur name back. Then in the mid 1980's, Spur was once again discontinued. On the front of the bottle you have the Spur writing at the top and in the middle you have Spur logo.

Here is a look at the back of the bottle where it points out that is a 6 ounce bottle and that it was bottled by the Spur Bottling Company in Hickory, North Carolina.
Here is a close up of the Spur writing at the top and the logo in the middle on the front of the bottle.
