Article #72: Vintage 1920's Nu Icy Soda Bottle

This is our 72nd article where we are looking at this vintage Nu Icy soda bottle from the 1920's. Nu Icy was developed by Nu Grape in the 1920's. It was distributed by different bottlers in the 1920's and the 1930's in places like Richmond, Virginia, Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington, D.C. Nu Icy claimed in it's advertisements that it was the Triumph of Beverage Perfection. The front and the back of the bottle look the same where you have the Nu Icy writing as well as the star behind the writing. Nu Icy had 15 different flavors like Orange, Lemon, Grape and Grapefruit to name a few.
