Article #71: Vintage 1962 Nesbitt's Soda Bottle

 

Here is our 71st article and here we are looking at this vintage 1962 Nesbitt's soda bottle. Nesbitt's originally was produced by the Nesbitt's Fruit Products Company of  LA. The company produced other flavored soft drinks under the Nesbitt's brand. The Nesbitt's Fruit Products Company was founded in 1924, the company was named after the founder Hugh S. Nesbitt. Nesbitt's as a brand came out in 1927 originally as part of the company's line of soda fountain products. Nesbitt's became the leader in orange soda pop in the late 1940's and 50's. Nesbitt's had flavors like Orange, Strawberry and Grape to name a few. On the front of the bottle you have the Nesbitt's logo at the top and in the middle on the front.

Here is a look at the bottom of the bottle where it says 3 62 which means it was bottled in March of 1962.
