Article #59: Vintage Stretched Cheerwine Soda Bottle

 


Here in our 59th article we are looking at this vintage 16 ounce Cheerwine soda bottle. This is a 16 ounce bottle that is stretched. Cheerwine started in 1917 and is headquartered in Salisbury, North Carolina. Cheerwine started out at the Carolina Syrup Company, thereafter a recipe for a cherry flavored soda was purchased from a St Louis flavor salesman which became Cheerwine. Cheerwine was first a registered trademark in 1926. The flavor of Cheerwine in mildly sweet with strong cherry notes, mainly black cherry. On the front of the bottle you have where you have where it says It's Good Taste! at the top as well as the Cheerwine logo in the middle.
