Article #55: Vintage 1954 7 Up Soda Bottle

 


Here in our 55th article we are looking at this vintage 7 Up soda bottle from 1954. 7 Up was created by Charles Leiper Grigg in 1920 by the Howdy Corporation. The formula for the drink came to be in 1929. Originally, the product was named Bib-Label Lithiated Lemon-Lime Soda. In 1936, the name was shortened to 7 Up. On the front of the bottle you have the 7 Up logo at the top and in the middle.

\Here is a look at the back of the bottle where you have 2 of the slogans. They are You Like It Likes You and Fresh Up with 7 Up. Also you have the ingredients and where it was bottled. This one was bottle in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
