Article #32: Vintage 1969 Mountain Dew Soda Bottle

Here in this new article we are looking at this vintage Mountain Dew soda bottle from 1969. Mountain Dew was invented in 1940 by Tennessee beverage bottlers Barney and Ally Hartman. The formula was revised by Bill Bridgforth in 1958. Pepsi acquired Mountain Dew in 1964 and thereafter the logo was updated shifting it's focus to a younger generation. This logo remained throughout the 1970's and 80's. On the front of the bottle you have the Mountain Dew writing in the middle and you also have a cartoon of  the character Willie the Hillbilly.
Here is the back of the bottle where you have some of the cartoon again as well as one of the slogans which is It'll Tickle Your Innards.
