Article #123: Vintage 1940's Daniel Boone Beverages Soda Bottle

In this new article, we are taking a look at this vintage Daniel Boone Beverages soda bottle from the 1940's. This soda was bottled by the Boon Rock Bottling Company in Spencer, NC. The bottling company operated between 1929 and 1954. The company was founded by M.L. Kiser, who started the Spencer Carbonating Company back in 1907.

The company not only produced this drink, but they also produced Boone Rock Ginger Ale. The first bottles were embossed. But by the 1940's, the company made the switch to the Applied Color Label. This helped with shelf visibility. These lables show with his dog.

By this mid 1950's. the company shut down due to rising supply costs as one of the reasons.
