Article #122: Vintage 1960 Tru Ade/Pal Soda Bottle

In this new article, we will be taking a look at this vintage Tru Ade soda bottle with the Pal logo from 1960. Tru Ade began back in August 1938 in Los Angeles, California where a non carbonated soft drink was developed. The formula originally consisted of orange juice concentrate which included pasteurization. On the front of the bottle you have the Tru Ade logo in the middle. This one was bottled in Carpentersville, Illinois.

This bottle is interesting because it has the Pal logo at the top. Both of these drinks were pretty much the same, given that they were both non carbonated and pasteurized. Both drinks were orange as well. 1960 was the year that Pal started to fade. This type of bottle was featured in a ad from 1960 promoting Tru Ade.

Here is a look at the back of the bottle.
