Article #111: Vintage 1955 Catawba Valley Cola Soda Bottle

 

In this new article, we take a look at this vintage Catawba Valley Cola soda bottle from 1955. Catawba Valley Cola is the first name of the NuGrape product that eventually became Catawba Valley Beverages. Catawba Valley Cola/Catawba Valley Beverages was a company that was distributed by NuGrape out of Newton, North Carolina. NuGrape was the main beverage or product that was distributed by them. In these bottles, it was usually fruit flavors like grape, orange, citrus or fruit punch to name a few. This bottle is still full with the orange drink inside. On the front you have the logo in the middle which consists of the CV abbereviation in at the top and in the middle.

Here is a look at the back of the bottle. It points out where this one was bottled. This one was bottled by NuGrape in Newton, North Carolina. It also points out that is is a 10 ounce bottle.
