Article #110: Vintage 1980 Coca-Cola Los Angeles Olympics Bottle
In this new article we take a look at this vintage Coca-Cola soda bottle from 1980 which is promoting the 1984 summer olympics in Los Angeles, California. Coca cola was introduced in May 1886 where the first sales took place in Atlanta, Georgia. By 1888, 3 versions of Coca Cola sold by 3 separate businesses were on the market. The first bottling of the drink was in Vicksburg, Mississippi at the Biedenharn Candy Company in March of 1894. It was also that year that the first outdoor wall advertisement was painted. At the top of the bottle on the front you have Sam the olympic eagle and below that you have the logo along with some stars and the olympic logo.
