Article #44: Vintage 1970's Mountain Dew Soda Bottle

 

Here in our 44th article we are looking at this vintage Mountain Dew soda bottle from the 1970's. Mountain Dew was invented in 1940 by Barney and Ally Hartman in Tennessee. A revised formula was created in 1958 by Bill Bridgforth. In August 1964, Mountain Dew was acquired by the Pepsi-Cola company from the Tip Corporation. The front and back of the bottle look the same with the logo at the top and in the middle. This is a 10 ounce bottle.
